Country Dancing In Kalamazoo

We are a non-profit group in Kalamazoo Michigan, passionate about preserving the joy and excitement of the contra, square, and English dance traditions. We provide beginners' instruction and live music, and we welcome everyone!

Please take a moment to browse our website and learn more about the dances and our organization.

Special Notice: The Board of Country Dancing in Kalamazoo has recently revisited our decision to resume dancing at the Oshtemo Grange in the fall. With the increase in COVID-Delta infections and the subsequent recommendations from both the CDC and MDHHS that all people wear masks indoors, even those who are fully vaccinated, we have decided to push back the opening of the 2021-2022 dance season to the NOVEMBER 7 Sunday Just for Fun dance. We want to dance, but we want to do so safely. The first Saturday night contra dance is Saturday, November 13th..

That night the music will be so special. It's a reunion of the Panning Family, and Luke and Roweena and Dave will be on stage. You won't want to miss it!

Please understand that this situation is fluid. Please check our Facebook Page or this website for the latest information on whether a particular dance will be held. If a mask recommendation is in place, we will not dance. As mentioned in a previous post, we will welcome all fully vaccinated, dancers, callers and musicians and a signed waiver will be required. Thank you for your understanding.
